Helping Hands Supportive Services Associates network consists of well-versed workers. Our Associates not only have prerequisite experience but also varies educations background and skills. Helping Hands Supportive Services encourages continuing learning for all Associates and offers a range of learning opportunities to ensure that skills are current and relevant. 

Employment Prerequisites

  • A community college diploma or university degree in a relevant discipline (CYW, DSW, BA, BST, BSW etc)· 

  • More than 2 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with ASD (autism), Mental Health Disorders or Dual Diagnosis· 

  • The ability to work independently and successfully following a client BSP· 

  • A current Vulnerable Sector Screening (VPC), renewed annually· A Ministry-approved Crisis Intervention Training (CPI, SMG, UMAB)· A valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C 

  • A strong work history with individualized (1:1) supports with complex special needs population (with behavioural challenges)·
